October 3rd Chapter Ride
Come join us for our last official Long Ride of the year. We'll have rides in November and December but only if weather permits and they will be shorter. Our Past President and Vet Rep Kevin has prepared a great ride through Marin and Sonoma Counties to Jenner on the Coast and Healdsburg inland. Lunch will be at a nice deli just north of Bodega Bay before we hit Jenner and Healdsburg. Remember to dress in layers and bring your rain gear if you have it just in case. As always during this time of year, keep an eye out for emails or postings on this website for Rain Outs and last minute changes.

October 10th General Chapter Meeting and Short Ride to Follow, WEATHER PERMITTING
Come join us for a very important Chapter Meeting. We want to get a jump on next year this time so we will be handing out Ride/Event Suggestion forms and be discussing where you want to ride in addition to non riding events you would like to have for next year. In addition, we will be discussing any changes we have made or that you may want from our rides, routine and/or chapter bylaws. We will also discuss the different officer positions and answer any questions for those interested in filling them for next year. Nominations are to be held in November when we meet again for a Chapter meeting and Short Ride, weather permitting. Finally we will have a raffle once again for a free brunch provided by the chapter to the winner.

October 17th LOS NON RIDE Event to Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival
Art & Pumpkin Festival Celebrates Its 39th Year
Every year when autumn rolls around, the picturesque seaside city of Half Moon Bay bursts into brilliant orange and buzzes with boisterous activity in celebration of its bountiful fall harvest. The world-famous Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival is the season’s big event, bringing throngs of visitors to the “World Pumpkin Capital” for a world-class festival on historic Main Street. This year’s 39th festival will be held on October 17-18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Parking
There will be parking at the south end of Main Street, Half Moon Bay High School (Main St. just north of Hwy. 92), and at the Community Center/Shoreline Station complex, located just north of Kelly Avenue on Highway 1. Many of these parking areas are operated by local non-profit groups who charge a nominal parking fee. There is also limited free parking on several side streets.
No Pets, Please
The City of Half Moon Bay will be enforcing its ordinance prohibiting pets on the festival grounds. For the safety, comfort, and courtesy of your pets and festival-goers, please leave your pets at home. Large crowds make it a very stressful and dangerous environment for pets.
