January Charter Signing Meeting

This is a needed administrative meeting to collect the rest of chapter dues from members, fill out Ride Waivers for '06 and to sign our Chapter Charter contracts for National. This is usually the slot for the Officers meeting, but we need to sign the Charter as soon as possible in January. I just received the documents today and there is no reasonable time to gather the members before the New Year. We must have a minimum of 12 Chapter Members sign the Charter to continue the 103 Chapter, so I need the turnout of *all* Hayward Fault rocker holders (except Pedro Vasquez, who has the Navy flight school excuse) to show and sign. You must have a current STAR membership card or receipt showing current membership in the National association to sign.

So check your membership cards for expiration, gather your insurance documents for the waivers and come on down!!

January Chapter Ride

Our routes for the first 3 months of the year will be close in and shorter to allow for darkness, temperature and weather. This first ride will explore the areas on both sides of the Golden Gate Bridge, including the Presidio and Golden Gate National Recreation Area in the Marin Headlands. There will be a good picture stop on the Marin side, so cameras are encouraged. The lunch location will be indoors and heated <G>
If it is actively raining when we wake up, we'll reschedule, but be prepared for winter riding!!

This is a non-chapter event, but a pretty good bike show. See the link for ticket prices. If the weather is good enough I'll ride, but this can be quite a cold one. Many choose to drive if they go and I have a history of taking a room and staying the night so I can listen to the band. The show runs both Sat & Sun. Those interested should contact me for further info and times.
